Getting started

Your first document

A document is one ticket, from rough idea to refined, with the people who need to agree on it. Here is the path through it and the header you will see at every step.

Sign up and start

Sign up with an email address and choose a plan; the card is charged at checkout. After you sign in, Home opens, the first time with a short tour, and offers four ways in: a New document from a template (Templates), Import a ticket from Jira or a file, Continue work in the project you touched last, or Analyze dependencies across tickets you already have. A document can also start from text you paste (Paste and import) or from Markdown or Word files or a Jira export (CSV or JSON) you upload in Documents, or from one Jira ticket by its key once Jira is connected (A ticket from Jira), and Projects keep related documents together. What each plan includes is under Plans, points and billing.

The full walk-through with timings is the quickstart.

Documents, projects and dependencies

Documents lists every document you can open, grouped by when it was last edited, with search, status tabs and the views Shared with me and Not in a project. The move button on a row, or Move to project on a selection, files documents in a project; a document is in one project at a time.

A project's page keeps its context, its documents, and the ways to add to it: New document, Upload and Add existing. Select two or more documents, anywhere, and Analyze dependencies opens a dependency analysis of exactly those; Analyze this project does the same for a whole project. The AI reads them together and maps dependencies, conflicts, contradictions inside one document, duplicated work, naming drift, shared components and workarounds. Tickets the documents name but the analysis leaves out are listed, one click from being added. An analysis is deleted with any document it read.

The document header

From left to right: the workspace switcher, the document’s name, who is here, Share, whether the tab is saved, Grill me and More. Who wrote what is on the Document panel, and the shared materials and Close document are in the More menu. The rail on the left of every page holds Home, Documents, Templates, Roadmaps and Projects, and your account at its bottom; resting the pointer on Documents shows the five documents you touched last. On a narrower window the rail gives way to the bar, and the switcher’s first row, All documents, is the way back.

Editor
The workspace switcher. It names where you are, Editor, GrillMe or Prototype. Open it to go to another workspace; a closed one says why and what opens it.
The document’s name
The host and the operator click it to rename the document. The cloud beside it is the save state at a glance.
People here
Who has the document open right now: three faces, and +N for the rest.
Share
The invite link for people, and the invitation for your agent. Guests join free; Roles and the read-only view.
Saved 2 min ago
Every change is saved as you type, and the header says when the last one reached the document. If the connection drops, it says what is held and retries.
Grill me
Starts GrillMe, the interview, from the draft once it has text. The host or the operator presses it. To skip the interview, More → Review and export opens the draft for review instead.

The document in one minute

One document, in the Editor. While it is a Draft, write together, ask the AI and decide its suggestions. GrillMe is the interview: the AI asks what the draft leaves open, one operator answers, the others read along and propose (Before the interview). When the interview is finished, or straight from the draft with Review and export, the document is Refined in the same Editor, with the review beside it: the team edits, the host or the operator decides the suggestions and presses Accept final version (or Mark ready without an interview) and exports (Finishing, and the review).

Closing a document keeps it, and you can reopen it from Documents. Deleting it is final, so export first; Tools and the review panel both have the buttons. A prototype built from it stays in My outputs.
