Invite your agent

An external agent joins the draft like a colleague who can only propose. It reads the draft, sends suggestions and comments as cards, and a person approves or rejects each one.

From the Share dialog

Share this document: People, with the invite link, Copy and Rotate; Your agent, with the invitation text and a Copy button.
Share in the document header. The upper half invites people; the lower half invites an agent. The invitation is readable before you copy it.

The host opens Share and scrolls to Your agent. The invitation is plain text you can read first: it tells the agent how to connect, read, propose and disconnect. Copy issues a private credential for this document and puts the whole invitation on the clipboard; paste it into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or your own script. Any agent that can send HTTP requests can follow it.

What the agent can do

Read
The current draft, as text with exact anchors.
Propose
Replacements, insertions after a passage, and comments, at most ten per request. Each arrives as a suggestion card labelled with the agent’s name.
Stay present
A heartbeat every thirty seconds keeps it listed in the header.
Not
Approve or reject anything, edit directly, start the interview, bill, or close the document. Those stay with people.

In the document, the header shows Shared with agents · 1 active and the agent’s robot avatar; the activity log says the agent joined as an external agent; its cards are decided exactly like the AI’s (Review changes: suggestions and comments).

Access and its end

One credential per document. Pressing Copy again issues a fresh one and disconnects the previous agent; Revoke ends access at once. Access also ends when the document leaves Draft (the interview starts, or the draft goes into review), when the document closes, and in any case within 24 hours. The credential is never stored in plain text, and the invitation shown on screen does not contain it.

The protocol, request by request, is in the documentation: Agents. The rate limit is sixty requests a minute.
