Troubleshooting

When something goes wrong the product says so in a sentence, next to the thing it is about. This page collects those sentences, what each one means, and what to do. Nothing you typed is lost by any of them.

Saving and connection

The document header always says where your typing stands. Saved, with how long ago (“Saved just now”, “Saved 2 min ago”), is the normal state; every other sentence means the tab holds something the document has not confirmed yet.

This tab has unsaved changes
The connection is slow or gone. Keep the tab open; it retries by itself and the sentence changes back to saved.
Some of your typing could not be saved
A recovery bar appears above the document with what was set aside. Retry saving, or download a local recovery copy from the bar and paste it back later.
Your recovered typing is only in this tab
The tab was reopened with unconfirmed text. Retry saving before closing it, or download the copy.
This draft now uses a newer version of the editor than this tab has
Someone opened the document with a newer release. Download a recovery copy if the bar offers one, then reload the page.
The ticket was marked ready before your last change was saved
The host or the operator locked the ticket while you typed. Ask them to reopen it (Reopen for edits, above the ticket), then choose Retry saving.

Switching workspaces or marking the ticket ready is refused while a tab has unconfirmed changes, with a sentence pointing at the status line. Save first; the refusal goes away.

Sign-in and invites

The sign-in code does not work
The code step is the sign-in provider’s own screen, so its wording is not Scopeleaf’s. Codes expire, and a code submitted twice invalidates the attempt. Ask for a new one with Resend, type it once, and do not submit it again.
This invite link is no longer valid
The host rotated the link (Share → Rotate). Ask for the current link.
This document is closed
The host closed the document. It is kept, and the same link works again once the host reopens it from Documents, in Closed. Ask the host.
Joining is taking longer than expected
Usually the connection. Check it and open the link again; joining is safe to repeat.
You do not have access to this document
You are signed in, but not as a participant in this document. Open the original invite link to join, or return to your documents.
The document could not load
A connection or server problem stopped the document from loading; a closed document and one you cannot open have their own messages. Your work is kept. Press Retry, or reload the page.

The AI

The AI could not review the draft. Try again.
The provider did not answer in time. The draft is untouched; ask again in a moment.
The passage changed, so nothing was applied
A suggestion was approved after someone edited the text it anchored to. Ask AI again on the current draft; the old card is stale on purpose.
Someone edited this proposal
The wording on the card changed under you. Read the updated wording, then approve or reject it again.
Out of points — upgrade or top up to continue.
The host’s AI points are used. New AI steps stop; the draft, its suggestions, export and guests keep working. Starter can move to Business, Business can buy a top-up; see Plans, points and billing.
The host of this document is out of points. Ask the host to upgrade or top up.
The same, seen by a guest: the host pays for every AI step in the document.

When the AI is not configured at all, the Ask AI sheet says so and nothing else changes. What the AI reads, and how much of a long draft reaches it, is under Giving the AI context.

The interview

GrillMe can only be started by the current operator while the document is in Draft
You are a guest without the operator role, or the document is no longer a Draft. The host, or the assigned operator, starts it from the draft in the Editor.
Add some draft content before starting GrillMe
The draft is empty. The interviewer asks from the draft, so it needs one.
Processing failed. The answer is kept.
The interviewer’s reply did not arrive. Retry sends the same answer again; cancelling keeps it unprocessed.
AI capacity is reserved by queued work
Another AI call for this document is running (an Explore, a terms read, a reply). Wait for it to finish; nothing is lost.
Waiting for the interviewer to catch up
The interviewer is still working through earlier answers. Send answer waits, your answer stays in the field, and the button comes back by itself.
This document has reached its AI call limit for this action
The document’s AI budget for the interview is spent. Answers, terms and the Discussion are saved; the team can keep editing or export what it has.
A GrillMe interview needs at least 30 points to start. Upgrade or top up to continue.
An interview starts only with 30 points left, so it does not stop on its first questions. A guest reads that the host needs them. One already running may finish up to 50 points below zero, then pauses with its answers kept.

The interview cannot be ended by a failure, a limit or a cancellation; those pause it. How it does end is under Finishing, and the review.

Documents and plans

This document is full: the host’s plan allows 8 guests. Ask the host to upgrade to Business.
Starter allows 8 guests in a document, the host not counted. Guests already in it always get back in; Business has no fixed cap.
Your plan keeps up to 5 templates. Delete one to add another. Upgrade to Business for up to 50.
Starter keeps 5 own templates. Delete one, or move to Business.
Your plan keeps up to 3 projects. Delete one to make room. Upgrade to Business for up to 50.
Starter keeps 3 projects. Deleting a project keeps its documents, unfiled.
Inviting a coding agent is part of Business. Upgrade to Business to invite one.
Your coding agent in the draft is a Business feature.
Only the host can choose the plan that unlocks review and export
You are the operator but not the host. The plan belongs to the host’s account; ask them to choose one, then try again.
Checkout was cancelled. Nothing was charged.
You left Stripe’s page before finishing. Choose a plan again from Billing when ready.

A closed document is not an error: the host closed it and can reopen it. A deleted document is gone for good, so export before you delete; see Invite, export, close.
