GrillMe
Before the interview
GrillMe is the meeting you would otherwise have: the AI asks what the draft leaves open, one person answers for the team, everyone else reads along and proposes. Nothing it learns is written into the draft until the team reviews it.
Starting
Grill me in the Editor’s header starts the interview and opens the GrillMe workspace for everyone. It is enabled while the document is a Draft and has content; hovering the button tells you why it is not. The host can start it, and so can the operator once one has been assigned. An interview that was skipped with Review and export can still be started from the review, with More → Start GrillMe, until a prototype is built from the ticket.
The draft is not changed by the interview. It stays readable in the Editor, which the workspace switcher in the header reaches; GrillMe shows the workspace described below.
Choosing the operator
The first screen of GrillMe is Before the interview starts: “One person answers on behalf of the team. Everyone else reads along, proposes answers and discusses. Choose who that is.” The host picks a participant from the list and presses Assign the operator; later, the same control reads Transfer the operator role. Guests see “The host chooses the operator.” Nobody is the operator until this is done, the host included: a host who wants to answer picks themselves from the list. Until then there is no interview to join, so the question cards and the proposal field are not there yet. A host alone in the document has nobody to choose: the screen says they answer the questions themselves, and Start the interview, I answer myself, under the areas, makes them the operator and starts the interview in one press.
- Operator
- Chooses options, sends answers, approves or dismisses proposals, agrees terms, parks questions, confirms the end. One person at a time.
- Everyone else
- Sees the same questions and answers live, writes proposals for the operator, joins the Discussion, asks Explore, suggests corrections to terms.
- The interviewer
- The AI. Asks from the draft, follows up on answers, offers to finish when nothing is left to ask. It never decides anything.
The workspace before the first question

Three columns: the question queue and the shared vocabulary on the left, the current question in the middle, the Discussion on the right. Before the start, the queue says No open questions and the middle card says who the operator is. Start the interview is the operator’s; while the AI writes, the card says The interviewer is writing the first questions.

Preparing the draft is worth the minute: the questions come from what the draft leaves open, so a section written properly is a question not asked. Shared materials added before the start are available to the interviewer (Giving the AI context), and the quick action Suggest improvements in Ask AI points at acceptance criteria that cannot be tested yet.
An interview spends the host's AI points, about 19 for a typical one and 52 for a long one, and starts only with at least 30 left. Guests never pay. See Plans, points and billing.
